Coming to Gypsy Poet was high on my list of Pizza places to try here in Houston, especially after I saw Dave Portnoy's review. Having grown up on the east coast and now living in Houston for quite some time, this was a main event moment for me on a hot and humid Saturday night. When my partner and I arrived, there was already a line outside the door. My excitement was building with every moment, and once I made it to the register, I ordered The Margarita Pizza, which I specifically requested to be extra crispy with some char on the undercarriage. When the pizza finally arrived as you'll see in the video, everything appeared to be visually on point, then I took the first bite. The taste, flavor was good, however one thing that I expected to happen, did not, which was the crust underneath when bitten into being crunchy, and man was I disappointed. I really like the pizza and want y'all to be my number one, so when I come back again, I will state that I want the bottom well done enough to crunch with crispiness, and we'll go from there. Great job overall with customer service, ambiance and overall positive vibes.
